Zollgrenschutz M35 DD Heer helmet 'Q64'

Zollgrenschutz M35 DD Heer helmet 'Q64'

£0.00Price

A wonderful example of an M35 double decal Heer helmet finished in factory-applied apple green paint - with the more scarcely seen early variant of Q 'bigfoot' Heer decal!

Also a highly intriguing example indeed... having two owners' names written to the interior. The first, surnamed to "Bersck" with a Luftwaffe (!) Feldpost number, and the French coastal town of "La Tremblade" on the Atlantic Coast!

The second is perhaps even more unusual and rare, named to "Stechhan", but with the rank "Oberzollrat" which was a unique title held within the Zollgrenschutz.

The shell itself is maker coded and size stamped 'Q64', indicating production by Quist, Esslingen. Dome stamp to the interior is visible and dated '1939'.

The helmet is still fitted with its original factory applied liner and chinstrap - also with matching date marking '1939'.

Overall, a superb, honest "one-look original" that has a very appealing used, but not abused, appearance! A top shelf example of an early combat helmet with much further research potential!
