Here we have a great, late-war twin drum (Gurttrommel) set for the MG34/42 complete with the original carrying frame.
All parts are finished in the factory tan paint, with both drums being matching maker/date coded 'hqu 44' and the frame marked 'bdk 44'. To the base of each there is a Finnish 'SA' property marking, and so these were lucky to escape any post-war refurbishment as was carried out in Russia or Yugoslavia etc.
In over 10+ years of collecting MG34/42 related items this is one of only a handful of complete sets in tan paint which we have encountered - with this one coming from our personal collection.
