A very nice, untouched example of the typical mid-war Heer M40 single decal helmet. This example comes complete with its original leather liner and full length chinstrap, which is maker marked.
The shell itself is maker coded and size stamped 'ET66' to indicate production by Eisenhüttenwerke, Thale. The rear skirt also features a hand-painted name - "J. Hickl".
Overall, a great, honest combat helmet!
