RARE early M35 reissue Heer helmet 'SEst64'
An extremely rare example of a very early Heer M35 helmet which is maker coded 'SEst' - a code that was only used for a short time during 1936 - to indicate manufacture by Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G.
This example would have originally been a DD Heer, but it subsequently underwent reissue during the war into the typical grey/green paint finish without any decal being reapplied.
This example comes complete with its original leather liner and has also been fitted with a breadbag strap at some stage, which has been left exactly as it was found.
The shell itself is also size stamped '64' and the rear skirt also features some hand-inscribed initials, as shown.
Overall, a lovely example of an early reissue M35 which has certainly 'been there' and is presented honest combat used condition! An exceptionally rare variant of the German combat helmet that is often missing from even the most serious of helmet collections!
