Late-war MG34 Gurtsack 1944

A very nice Gurtsack 34 model canvas belt bag for the MG34. This accessory was designed to be used in conjunction with MG34s mounted in bunkers, armoured vehicles and tanks.
 
This particular example is a scarcely seen late-war variation, with simplified stamped sheet metal top cover, closure mechanism and attachment hooks. The item is ink maker's coded and dated '4' (1944) to the base, as shown.
