Ex-whitewash M42 Luftwaffe helmet 'hkp 66'
A very nice and clearly combat used example of a Luftwaffe ex-SD M42 steel combat helmet.
The shell is maker coded and size marked 'hkp 66' to indicate production by Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G, with the vast majority of the factory-applied Luftwaffe blue/grey paint still intact throughout. There are also still clear signs of the decal, along with a whitewash camo overpaint that was once fully applied over the top of this during winter months before being subsequently removed (along with the decal) during the following thaw.
The helmet also comes complete with its original factory-fitted leather liner, liner drawstring and chinstrap.
A really good and completely honest example of a combat worn Luftwaffe M42 helmet in a nice large size!
