Deactivated 7.92mm ZB30 MG30(t)

£0.00Price

An extremely rare pre-WWII era ZB30 / MG30(t) which was produced in Czechoslovakia (BRNO) and initially part of a small contract destined for Serbia - with the Serbian National Coat of Arms crest featuring prominently on top of the receiver.

Ultimately, upon German occupation and advancement eastwards, such weapons were taken under their own control and reissued to various combat forces as the war progressed. This was particularly apparent with Czech arms due to their impeccable quality - rivalling, if not exceeded in some cases, their German counterparts; with the ZB30 epitomising this fact perfectly!

Production in many cases was also continued, to include accompanying parts and accessories - just like the 20 round ZB30 magazine, being clearly Waffenamt proof marked in this instance.

Also of especial note with this particular example is that another of the very few surviving ZB30s from the same batch is known to have been captured by US troops, directly from the German 719th Volksgrenadier Division, in Saarbrücken during 1945 - see below:

Matching serial numbers are present to the whole receiver, barrel release catch and muzzle. The blued finish remains in very good condition, along with all of the woodwork to the stock, pistol grip and integral carry handle.

A beautiful example that is one of only two known examples from this contract that are presently known to reside within the UK.
