Camouflaged B.-Fr. 10x45 für Em 4m optic 'Carl Zeiss Jena'

£0.00Price

Here we have a completely untouched, as found in Normandy, example of the Carl Zeiss Jena B.Fr. (Beobachtungsfernrohr) 10x45 optic - which was used in conjunction with the large Em 4m R(H)34 rangefinder.

Initially factory finished in the pre to early-war black paint, this particular set was to go on to receive at least two field-applied tan camouflage paint layers in service.

The view through the optic remains somewhat usable, but would benefit from an internal service and clean if destined for any more serious use purposes. The reticule remains inside.

Clearly this example was once fitted with the very earliest orange rubber eyepiece fittings, which are typically the most prone to perishing due to the material composition used as is the case here.

This is the first and only example that we have ever had the opportunity to offer in 10+ years of collecting optics.

As well as being one that was originally discovered within the Normandy theatre of operations, it makes for a very scarce and interesting display piece!
